I miss you guys.

I just want to say that as a teenage girl, I did NOT like Twilight. Not the book. Not the movie. Not the poster. Not the special-brand lunchbox.
If someone climbed through my window, I would be out of town sooo fast. Fast like a vampire covered in glitter.

Lots of non-fanged love

As far as animated movies that were ground breaking. Ask most anime fans and they would also say Akira is one of note.

Just catching up with you guys, and wanted to say that I really liked the 'unboxing' commentary you guys had on Lich King and Northrend. I'm in a self-imposed exile from WoW until I get around to finishing Fallout 3 (I _WILL_ finish a single player game before hopping back online... I _WILL_!), so it was nice to hear first impressions and whatnot.

The only thing that really bothered me was now that I've heard a snippet of your actual playtime... and one that Boo has a prominent role... well...

WHERE THE HECK WAS "Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!"?!

I feel so hollow inside...

Hey you two! Great show this week, you had me laughing out loud (or rather, trying to laugh quietly while at work) many times! Especially the comments about Stephen King (whom I adore I must admit) writing and Michael Jordan dunking...I won't even attempt to repeat it, but it was very funny!
And thanks for the shout out! I do hope you enjoy TSCC; part of the downside of recommending tv shows/movies/books is the possibility that the other party will not like the show/movie/book as much as the recommender!
But again, great show!

/greet E&D!

Just finished listening to the episode, couple notes for you.

1. As of this writing, the word 'review' in your episode's title is spelled 'reveiw'. :P

2. MTV remaking RHPS. The very first three letters of that sentence should be enough for any & every true RHPS fan to cringe in fear and disgust. MTV cannot even hold true to their OWN name, i.e., be an actual music television channel, so how in the frak could anyone expect them to be true to anothers' name? Check this web link for more info, if you dare! (beware the language) - http://www.stoptheremake.com/

3. Thanks to WarCry Network, I was granted acceptance into the closed beta of The Lord of the Rings Online's next expansion, Mines of Moria. I'll be writing two soon-to-be-published articles on said website, stay tuned. In the meantime, if you two are interested in any inside info for your show, feel free to contact me, my friends.

Give the gnome a /train for me, and thanks for another entertaining episode!

Regarding organic writing:
I am a published author and know, am friends with, or have met over 2000 other published authors in the course of my career (conventions etc). You'd be surprised at the division here. Half work off of outline, half write "by the seat of their pants." Stephen King and Nora Roberts (two authors who are repeatedly on the best seller lists) write with no outline at all. Others have 5-80 pages of outlines. Fantasy and mystery authors tend to be more outline oriented simply because their plots/worlds require it.

hey you two, love the show/shows.

finally got a chance to check out the business card the dwarf handed me over the summer and glad i did.

you two are great at this. not sure it's as effortless as it sounds in the finished product or there's lots of editing but it works great. ever thought about radio? whould love to hear you on sirius or xm.

when do you two find the time to work, game, wow, watch movies and get in all those tv shows? oh, and parent.

a few questions and comments:
you mentioned the movies gamers and fellowship of the dice. are either any good? if so, which gamers... there's one called gamers: dorkness rising.

also, there's a great series on AMC called madmen. advertising set in the 60's. not really your subjectmatter as it's a drama but one of the best written, most intrigueing, uncliche shows i've seen. would netfix saeson 1 if interested.

hope the gnome (A.R.) is doing great.

talk soon,
rohan

hey guys! Great show. :)
I just wanted to implore you to watch Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles! It's my new favorite show-and as the most recent episode is going to show; the storylines aren't as simple as they appear on the surface.
Now I know you said you can't DVR it...but good news! you can watch it online! Fox.com has the recent season online, and I believe you can also still see Season 1 on that site too. (sadly, some of the stuff they started in season 1 they apparently gave up on in season 2, likely because of the writers strike and the forcing of ending season 1 early). Fox just, last week, purchased a full season of the show, so we need to show support!
Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts on the show, especially if you are any kind of fan of the Terminator franchise (which I definately am). :)
And that's my plug.
I hope all is well!!!

Concerning the wear of current military issue clothing, I have this for you. Since the SG teams are under Air Force control, they are regulated by Air Force Instruction 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel.

http://www.e-publishing.af.mil/shared/media/epubs/afi36-2903.pdf

Now, I cannot speak directly on Air Force clothing. I did my 14-year tour in the Army, with the 82nd Airborne, and worked close enough with the Air Force to know that one of their base rules regarding clothing is the same as for Army: if it's not a direct or supported Air Force function, then don't wear the uniform. So, I would not expect a currently enlisted airman to wear the uniform to a convention, representing SG or not. Altering their duty or dress uniform to conform to that of an SG team member I do believe is forbidden. Therefore, I would think it safe to say that seeing anyone wearing a current authentic Air Force uniform specifically for the purpose of fitting into the spirit of an SG team member would NOT be an active duty airman. As long as they are ONLY claiming to be in costume for the convention, and not attempting to also falsely claim to be an actual military servicemember, let them groove how they are and enjoy their time.

Man, when you become a published writer, then you can comment on how to write a book. Writing a book is not like writing a term paper. There is not always an outline. You have ideas of where it may go, but that changes with where your imagination takes it, or where your mind is at the time. Writing a book is not always so structured. LOL. If you want an idea of what it is really like to write a book, watch "Stranger than Fiction"(minus the obvious plot factor of the character becoming real). THAT is what it is like to write a book. It is much more organic.

If you want to understand more about what you are talking about, read up on it through interviews with authors who write the same type of novel you are speaking about.

You have ideas of where it may go, but that changes with where your imagination takes it, or where your mind is at the time. Writing a book is not always so structured. LOL. If you want an idea of what it is really like to write a book, watch “Stranger than Fiction”(minus the obvious plot factor of the character becoming real). THAT is what it is like to write a book. It is much more organic.

If you want to understand more about what you are talking about, read up on it through interviews with authors who write the same type of novel you are speaking about.

Also you have to learn to be ready for anything. I was Dm for a DnD club that would deleberatly take the loophole in a situation (that usually involved killing the person giving them the choice and going through his pockets.) You learn to go with the flow, even if it goes down a different path then you expected. I've had the cleric sit there and watch a PC die because he "Didn't like him anyway.", I've had the campaign split into two groups for a three meetings, so I had one group keep just missing the other group, who was trying to tell them that the people who they were protecting the arch enemy. you just to go with the flow, and try to keep just a step ahead of the PCs.

No magic to be found in d20 Modern! And some people have tweaked it into d20 Renaissance, for Age of Sail shenanigans! If s/he really wants to engage religion, they can play a missionary!
