I was Dm for a DnD club that would deleberatly take the loophole in a situation (that usually involved killing the person giving them the choice and going through his pockets.) You learn to go with the flow, even if it goes down a different path then you expected. I've had the cleric sit there and watch a PC die because he "Didn't like him anyway.", I've had the campaign split into two groups for a three meetings, so I had one group keep just missing the other group, who was trying to tell them that the people who they were protecting the arch enemy. you just to go with the flow, and try to keep just a step ahead of the PCs.
