E18: Micheal Cricthon

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

Recorded live in Second Life, the Hunter duo do all they can to avoid the show’s main topic:  The Life, Times and Writing of Micheal Crichton.  They can’t pass a chance to talk about Twilight (which was spurred by comments by Steven King), nor to talk a bit about WoW and achievments.  Did you know Rorlins wrote a novel?

E 17: Geeky Christmas

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

After their Christmas Vacation (free of Chevy Chase, sadly) the Hunter Pair returns to not only fill you in on their vacation but stream the show live from Second Life!  The pair talk about geeky presents they gave and got, and what they’ve been up to for the last 2 months.  A bit of ranting about Northrend, a little talking about the new Patch, and some postulations for next week finish the show.  As a correction, Rorlins will be making his SL live music debut next week, not this week, on 1/29.

Episode 14: What we’re Watching 08

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

The new fall season is underway!  A few weeks in and here’s what the Elf and Dwarf have programmed into their DVR.  Hits and misses abound as well as probably a few too many non-sci fi/ fantasy conversations.  Oh, and there’s not much news so we subsituted a few minutes of married people bickering instead.

V2 E6: Confessions

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

To make up for being off the air for a few weeks, the Elf and Dwarf brought a friend:  none other than the author of Confessions of Part Time Sorcerer,  a girl’s guide to D and D, as well as numerous Dragon magazine articles, and Wizards of the Coast insider, Shelly Mazzanoble.  The hunter pair ask her about how the book came to be, some of her experiences working “the Mecca of Gaming” and what it’s like to sit on both sides of the DM screen.

V2 Episode 5: Geeking in the Dark

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Due to the recent storm that hit Michigan (and a neighbor who refused to call Ms. Digg before doing major landscaping) we’ve been both without power and internet until today.  True to form we did get out a short conversation about geeking without power and how we’ve been surviving without email, the web, or WoW.

The Elf and Dwarf go Dark

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Sorry folks, no show this week.  Due to the massive storms that hit the midwest this week we are without power.  Rorlins is cheating by blogging this from his desk in his classroom when he should be grading final exams.  We will return to the virtual airwaves next week.

Why not use this week to check out the Wife Agro Podcast, or Mischief and Mayhem?

Or you can use this break to complain to all of your friends about how much you miss your weekly dose of Hunter Banter!  Tell them how disappointed you were that you didn’t get to hear about the joys of balancing a marriage, multiple MMO subscriptions, a tabletop game and a newborn!  Let them know how frustrated your entire week will be without your fix of book reivews, movie commentary and lots and lots of nearly useless statistics!

Then tell them how the Elf and Dwarf will be back next week, and how they can find the show themselves!
