Episode 23: WoW’ers of the Dinner Table
This week we talked about what Pencil (for those pre-pen types) and Paper Role Playing Games are all about. We talk about the first game where we really RP’ed, some of our favorite characters and campaigns and why table top gaming is fun. We also put a spotlight on Seven Seas, an RPG all about buckling swashes. Owing to a lack of preparation on Rorlins’ part, Medros and Kodath return with their regular segments at the end of the show.

Hello!
I greatly enjoyed all your episodes, but I do have a few comments to make. The large amount of non-WoW chatter has meant that occasionally I just stop listening, don’t switch it off, I just lose the thread of the conversation.
Also - PLEASE sort out the sound quality! Adeldia can be very loud - maybe she is too close to the microphone? But any emphasis on a word, or any laugh, can be downright painful if one is using headphones. I’ve tried turning the sound down, but then Roarlins is too quite sometimes, and I can barely hear him. I’ve had the same problems with the dude who has his own spot on the end of the podcast (I’m sure he is very interesting, but I end up turning the podcast off after you guys have finished, mainly because he is so….indistinct?)
However - you’ve covered many interesting topics over the episodes, and I have really enjoyed them! The humour and friendliness is awesome. However the unrelated rambling and the sound issues really seem to be getting worse every podcast. There are plenty of free progams (audacity on the PC) that should allow you to adjust the sound levels and EQ things.
otherwise, keep it up!

This week had wonky audio I admit. Will keep working to improve, trust me!

I have to disagree regarding the non-Warcraft talk. True, I know what you’re talking about the vast majority of the time. However, the occasions when I don’t, you have a tendency to explain yourselves sooner or later. I’ve noticed that you both make a great effort to do this quite frequently. Beyond that, you are very entertaining to listen to just the way you are. If you tried to stay on topic, I think you’d loose some of that randomness that makes you are what you are. I highly approve of the small change you made to the description.
Fixing the sound quality would be nice. I was very sad last weekend when I was able to play the last few episodes for my boyfriend during a 5 hour car ride. Between the highs & lows of the recording and the brokeness of his car speakers, it was inaudible or painful.
However, considering your lack of resources, I think problems in sound quality is a small price to pay. I’m usually far to entertained to even notice it.
